Article 1: Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) govern the sale of products through the Maison Fondé website, operated by AETHELAB STUD LLC, to consumer customers. Placing an order on the website constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these GTC.

Article 3: Products
The products offered for sale are those described on the website at the time of consultation. Descriptions, text and photographs are provided for information and illustration purposes. Minor variations may exist without affecting the product's essential characteristics. The products are decorative ethanol fireplaces intended for domestic and decorative use, in accordance with the information provided on the product pages and instructions. They are certified to the European standard EN 16647 (certificate available on request).
Article 4: Price
Prices are shown in the currency of the selected market (for example euros, pounds sterling or Swiss francs), inclusive of all taxes where applicable, exclusive of any delivery charges. The applicable price and currency are clearly shown before the order is confirmed. The seller reserves the right to change its prices at any time, without affecting orders already confirmed.
Article 5: Orders
The customer selects the desired products and confirms the order after reviewing the order summary. Confirming the order constitutes acceptance of these GTC. An order confirmation is sent by email once payment has been validated.
Article 6: Payment
Payment is due immediately upon ordering. Accepted payment methods are those displayed on the website at the time of order. Transactions are secured through approved payment providers. Banking details are encrypted and are never stored by the seller.
Article 7: Delivery
Maison Fondé delivers to the countries currently offered at checkout. Delivery areas, timeframes and applicable rates are detailed in our Shipping Policy.
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days of payment confirmation. Orders placed over the weekend or on a public holiday are processed from the next business day onwards.
Standard delivery is free. An express delivery option is also available. Timeframes and rates applicable to the delivery country are shown at checkout and detailed in our Shipping Policy.
Where taxes, customs duties or import formalities apply, they are covered by Maison Fondé. No additional import charges are requested from the customer upon receipt.
A tracking number is provided once the order is dispatched.
Article 8: Transfer of risk
Risk relating to transport transfers to the customer upon actual receipt of the products.
Article 9: Right of withdrawal
The customer has a statutory period of fourteen (14) days from receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal (cancellation), without having to give a reason. Maison Fondé voluntarily extends this period to thirty (30) days. To exercise this right, the customer should contact customer service using the details provided in Article 2.
Article 10: Returns and refunds
Return conditions: products must be returned in their original condition, unused, with their complete packaging and all accessories.

Return procedure: before returning any item, the customer must contact Maison Fondé customer service to obtain the return instructions and address applicable to their order.
Return costs: in the event of a defect or non-conformity, return costs are covered by the seller. In the event of a change of mind, return costs are the customer's responsibility.
Refund: once the returned product has been received and inspected, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 24 to 48 hours. The actual crediting of the customer's account then depends on the processing times of their own bank.
Article 11: Warranty
Hestia products come with a two (2) year commercial warranty, burner included, covering manufacturing defects under normal conditions of use. This commercial warranty applies without prejudice to the statutory rights provided for under the regulations applicable to consumers in their country of residence. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from use that does not comply with the instructions, use of unsuitable fuel, negligence, or modification of the product.
Article 12: Safety and proper use
The products operate with a real flame fuelled by bioethanol (not included, minimum 95% purity). The customer agrees to follow the safety instructions provided in the product manual, in particular: never refill the burner while lit or hot, lightly ventilate the room, never leave the appliance unattended in the presence of children or pets, and never touch hot surfaces while in use. The seller cannot be held liable for damage resulting from improper use of the product or failure to follow the safety instructions provided.
Article 13: Liability
The seller cannot be held liable for failure to perform the contract in the event of force majeure or an event beyond its reasonable control, nor for damage resulting from improper use of the product.
Article 14: Personal data
Personal data collected is processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation (GDPR and UK GDPR). For more information, the customer is invited to consult the Privacy Policy.
Article 15: Intellectual property
All elements of the website (text, visuals, photographs, logos, the "Maison Fondé" brand, the "Hestia" name) are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation, is prohibited.
Article 16: Governing law and disputes
These GTC are subject to the law applicable to the consumer in their country of residence, in accordance with applicable consumer protection rules. In the event of a dispute, the customer is invited to first contact customer service. Maison Fondé is committed to systematically seeking an amicable solution before any legal action.
